Child Protection
STATEMENT
The Evangelical Fellowship of Congregational Churches recognises the importance of its ministry to children and young people and its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people entrusted to its care. As part of its mission, EFCC is committed to:

listening to, relating effectively to and valuing children and young people, whilst ensuring their protection within its activities

safe recruitment of all children's and youth workers within the organisation

adopting a procedure for dealing with concerns about possible abuse

encouraging and supporting parents/carers
POLICY
The EFCC recognises the need to provide a safe and caring environment for children and young people and also acknowledges that many children and young people today are victims of neglect, physical and sexual abuse. Accordingly it has adopted this policy and sets out guidelines relating to the following areas:
- supervision of activities
- discipline
- appointing children’s/youth workers
- responding to allegations of abuse or neglect
